Jifram History
From our humble beginnings in 1981 to the state-of-the-art facility of today, Jifram Extrusions has always been guided by a vision for the future. Founded in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin, the company’s name—Jifram—comes from its three original partners: Jim, Frank, and Merlin. Leveraging Jim Fischer’s extensive experience in plastics dating back to the early 1960s, the team set out to build a business rooted in innovation and customer service.
Starting in a modest 3,000 sq. ft. facility, Jifram focused on custom plastic extrusions for local clients. In 1985, Jim Fischer became sole owner of the company, and growth quickly followed. A new 12,500 sq. ft. plant was built that year, doubled in 1988, and expanded to 50,000 sq. ft. by 1996. With this growth came a reputation for engineering expertise, reliability, and the ability to deliver high-quality, American-made products. This reputation helped Jifram expand its reach nationwide, as well as into Canada and beyond.
As demand increased, Jifram invested in advanced plastic extrusion technology, more efficient processes, and sustainable practices. The company embraced eco-friendly methods, offering recycled plastic materials and environmentally conscious extrusion solutions to meet the needs of forward-thinking clients.
Today, Jifram Extrusions operates 12 extrusion lines and 19 extruders and provides comprehensive services, from tooling and prototyping to full-scale production. Dies are stored in-house for repeat customers, ensuring exact specifications and minimal lead times. Our capabilities include custom extrusions, plastic channels, no-cost tooling, and recycled plastic pallets.
Jifram’s dedication to innovation and customer service has fueled its presence in industries such as point of purchase (POP), home furnishings, office furniture, automotive, recreational, medical, OEM machinery, electrical, agriculture, and building supplies. Competitive pricing, quick turnaround, and a commitment to quality have kept us at the forefront of the plastic extrusion industry.
