Extruder Operator

This position is for experienced extruder operators only, must have previous experience.

Extruder Operator ($22 to $24/hr).

$2500 Retention Bonus-Previous extrusion & supervisory experience required

Attendance Bonus: $50/month

85% Company paid health premium after probationary period.

50% company paid dental premium after probationary period.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

Previous Plastic Extrusion Supervisory Experience Required

Set up, operate, or tend machines to extrude plastic materials into structural shapes.
Qualified candidate will be responsible for setting up, operation and tear down of plastic profile extrusion lines. Plastic extrusion operator will be responsible for all quality control requirements for each job they are assigned.

• Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes.
• Determine setup procedures and select machine dies and parts, according to specifications.
• Install dies, machine screws, and sizing rings on machines that extrude thermoplastic.
• Measure and examine extruded products to locate defects and to check for conformance to specifications, adjusting controls as necessary to alter products.
• Start machines and set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, and temperature, and to synchronize speed of extrusion.
• Position can include leadman or QC responsibilities depending on past experience .
• Oversee all aspects of the section shift

Pay is based on previous experience and the above wage information is only a general guideline but is not necessarily the wage offered. Final pay will depend on the employment background of hired individual.
