Modernizing Plastic Extrusion: Jifram’s New Facility Upgrades

At Jifram Extrusions, innovation isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a commitment. For decades, our team has specialized in custom plastic extrusions that solve challenges for industries ranging from retail displays to industrial applications. To continue that legacy, we’ve invested in new plastic extruders that modernize our facility, expand our capabilities, and ultimately, deliver more value to our customers.

This upgrade reflects our long-standing mission: to combine technical expertise with cutting-edge equipment so every extrusion we produce is precise, efficient, and cost-effective.

Why New Plastic Extruders Matter

A plastic extruder is at the heart of the extrusion process. It heats and pushes raw material through carefully engineered tooling to create the continuous plastic extrusions our customers rely on. With our new generation of plastic extruders, Jifram can now:

  • Increase capacity to take on larger or more complex production runs.
  • Improve efficiencies with faster cycle times and consistent throughput.
  • Enhance precision to ensure uniformity across sliding channels, plastic c channels, plastic u channels, and h channels, and more.

For our customers, this translates into shorter lead times, smoother finishes, and high-quality profiles that meet exact specifications.

An In-House Tooling Advantage

One of Jifram’s greatest strengths is our extensive collection of extrusion tooling. Today, we maintain more than 250 in-house, no-cost extrusion tools, including dies for a wide range of plastic profiles and channels. That means our customers often don’t have to purchase their own extrusion tool—eliminating a major upfront expense.

From u-channels to custom profile designs, chances are we already have a tool that fits your needs. And if not, our engineers can modify dimensions, adjust the material or color, or add custom fabrication features like holes, tape, or slots. By pairing our new plastic extruders with this unmatched tooling library, we can offer flexibility and savings that few manufacturers can match.

Serving the Retail Display Industry

One of the largest applications for our plastic extrusion capabilities is in the retail display industry, also known as point-of-purchase (POP) displays. In this setting, plastic profiles are often used to create the subtle but essential components that guide the shopper’s experience:

  • Sliding channels that hold price tags and product information.
  • Plastic C channels and plastic U channels that provide framing and support.
  • H channels that connect and stabilize display elements.

Our new equipment ensures these products are produced with unmatched consistency, strength, and clarity—whether they’re used to hold signage, frame graphics, or enhance product visibility. Retailers depend on displays that perform as well as they look, and Jifram’s upgraded extrusion capabilities deliver on both.

Looking Ahead

Investing in new plastic extruders is more than just a facility upgrade—it’s a promise to our customers. By modernizing our operation, we’re preparing for the future of plastic extrusion and reinforcing our role as a trusted partner for businesses that need reliable, high-quality extrusions.

From retail displays to custom industrial applications, our customers count on us for innovative solutions. And with new equipment, an expansive tooling library, and a dedicated team of engineers, we’re proud to say we’re more capable than ever of exceeding those expectations.
